Albany Imaging is an accredited medical imaging provider that performs a high-quality ultrasounds, CT and X-ray services to patients and referrers in the Great southern and surrounding areas. Our state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment is managed by our very experienced and friendly medical team.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound (Medical Ultrasonography) utilises sound waves to visualise muscles, tendons, and internal organs in real time, capturing their size, structure, and any pathology. 

Computed Tomography

Computed Tomography (CT) uses x-rays to create cross sectional images of your body.

X-ray

A general x-ray is an image of the inside of the body and it is produced by small rays of ionising radiation passing through your body and hitting a detector.

Interventional Procedures

The term interventional refers to using a mode of imaging to guide a needle into the correct place.


FAQs

  • Albany Imaging strives to bulkbill our patients wherever possible.

    However, due to Medicare criteria and some restrictions on referrers there can be an applicable fee. The fee will be discussed with you at the time of booking.

  • Yes, all medical examinations require a referral.

  • No, that is okay! Albany Imaging accepts all referrals.

  • Albany Imaging is located at 136 Lockyer Avenue, Centennial Park WA 6330.

    We are located within the Amity Health Building.

  • Following your examination one of our Radiologists (a doctor specialising in medical imaging) will review the images to provide a detailed report directly to your doctor or referring clinician within 7 working days for non-urgent examinations.  Please arrange a follow-up with your referring clinician to discuss your results. 

    Urgent reports will be faxed or telephoned directly to your doctor immediately following your examination.

    If you’re seeing a Specialist outside of Albany (e.g. Perth) for your results, please let us know the details at the time of your examination so that we can make arrangements to for your specialist to have online access to view your images (where possible) and report.
